First, we thank you for your interest in our organization. 50 Days of Kindness is a social enterprise that puts kindness into the world to improve the well-being of individuals and inspire people to make positive contributions to society and towards a healthier planet. This will be accomplished by running annual kindness challenges, promoting inspirational change makers, and developing content and educating key audiences on the power of kindness. 

 

Your privacy is extremely important to us and the following policy outlines how we collect, use and disclose personal information related to your use of our website and related services. Type of Information Collected:

 

  • 50 Days of Kindness has a limited number of services, which include the following types of business activities:

    • Inform and share information on Kindness using the Wix.com platform.

    • Sell children’s books using 3rd party platforms such as Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) and IngramSpark.

    • Share information, kindness challenges and social content using Instagram.

 

  • Based on the above services, we receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We may also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information on sites that sell our books such as Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing and IngramSpark), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

  • When you conduct a transaction on our website or one of the 3rd party platforms we use, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

 

Why we collect information:

 

  • We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

    • To provide and operate the Services;

    • To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

    • To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;

    • To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services;

  • Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with an online platform that allows us to link to 3rd party sites to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  

  • Information on platforms and their associated compliance levels where financial transactions occur can be found on the links above. 

  • Our website and social media posts also contain links to websites owned and operated by other organizations. They may have their own privacy policies and terms and conditions and are not governed by this policy. We encourage you to carefully review the privacy policy and terms of use of each website you visit.

How we communicate with site visitors:

  • We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, troubleshoot problems with your account, resolve a dispute, collect fees or monies owed, poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company. For these purposes, we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

For example, in order to navigate through our online campaign tool, our Web server must recognize you in order to ensure that your donation is correctly applied and that you are able to navigate securely through the pages related to the campaign.
